چکیده

Aegle marmelos is a medicinal herb that has variety of biological constituents. “Catechins” are class phenolic compounds have therapeutic value. The present study employs batch extraction with methanol as solvent to extract the catechins from pulp fruit. Box–Behnken design response surface methodology (RSM-BBD) used optimize operational parameters impacting catechin extraction, such concentration, pH, and time. Extraction 96.5% was achieved at concentration 80%, pH 6.24, soaking period 44.7 hrs (desirability: 0.966). Additionally, MATLAB’s artificial neural network (ANN) accurately estimate yield. antimicrobial activity methanolic tested against five different pathogens, including Streptococcus, Bacillus mega, Pseudomonas putida, cerecus, Staphylococcus aureus, using agar diffusion method tube dilution method. cereus, pseudomonas putida showed high activity.

Simultaneous quantification of furanocoumarins from Aegle marmelos fruit pulp extract.

Aegle marmelos Correa (Rutaceae) is a prominent species in the Sub-Himalayan region, also found in central and south India, and has been widely used as remedy for diarrhea and dysentery. Unripe fruits show antiviral activity and prove to be a potent hypoglycemic agent. In this study, a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the simultaneous quantification of major furocoumarin...

Optimization of medium constituents for Cephalosporin C production using response surface methodology and artificial neural networks

Artificial neural networks (ANN) and response surface methodology (RSM) were used to build a model to describe the effects of four independent variables (moisture content, concentrations of glucose, ammonium nitrate and methionine) on the yield of cephalosporin C (CPC) from Acremonium chrysogenum under solid state fermentation. The respective uses of RSM and ANN were found to be effective in lo...
